A Fight for Integrity: My Voice on the Buongiorno v. Link Lawsuit
In an age when trust in elections is collapsing, one man stood up not as a politician, not as a party pawn but as a vigilant citizen with data, evidence, and the will to hold the system accountable. Jeff Buongiorn
o, candidate for Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections, has filed a lawsuit that cuts straight through the smoke and mirrors of bureaucratic bullsh!t and corruption. This is a battle for American integrity.
Allegations: Transparency vs. Secrecy
Buongiorno filed this case on July 30, 2024, under federal civil rights law (18 U.S.C. § 241 -Conspiracy Against Citizen Rights). He is calling out Wendy Sartory Link and others for stonewalling public records -logs, audits, system files vital to protecting election integrity (trellis.law, jeffbuongiorno.com, justia.com).
What Buongiorno asked for were basic audit logs, EL45A reports, ES&S system data, and tabulation evidence documents required to ensure that votes were recorded and counted properly.
Instead of compliance, he got delay, denial, and deception.
And that, by law, may be more than unethical it could be illegal.
The Law Is Clear-And So Is the Violation
Buongiorno’s legal argument leans on both state and federal law:
Florida Constitution Article I, § 24 guarantees access to public records.
Florida Statute Ch. 119 (Sunshine Law) backs it up.
Federal Election Law (52 U.S.C. § 20701–20702) mandates retention and public inspection of federal election records for 22 months.
18 U.S.C. § 241 prohibits conspiracies to interfere with civil rights including the right to transparent elections.
This is a legal firewall built to protect us, the voters. If an election supervisor is intentionally obstructing access to this data, they’re not just breaking public trust they may be breaking federal law.
Patriotism in Action
American patriotism is about standing firm when systems fail the people. Buongiorno isn’t a keyboard warrior or a partisan puppet. He’s a citizen who saw the cracks in the system and took action when no one else would.
“We're just all citizens trying to get the truth.”
— Jeff Buongiorno (WPTV, Newsweek)
This Isn’t Just Palm Beach - It’s Our Great America
This case is a national flashpoint:
It’s about whether everyday citizens still have the power to question the system.
It’s about whether the public still owns the public record.
It’s about restoring faith in the ballot box, the foundation of democracy.
All Eyes on Palm Beach
Despite legal pushback and bureaucratic stonewalling, Buongiorno has filed multiple motions, including for emergency relief and sanctions for willful violations. His filings are detailed, supported by hard evidence and public records. He is not backing down and neither should we.
Why This Lawsuit Matters
If we can’t audit our elections, if we can’t demand truth from those entrusted with our vote, then we don’t have a republic -we have a rigged game. The very fabric of our democracy is stitched with transparency, not blind trust.
This isn’t about red or blue -it’s about right or wrong.
Buongiorno’s stand is about accountability.
His lawsuit is about courage.
And this fight?
It’s about preserving America’s integrity for generations to come.
This is what patriotism looks like in 2025.
Not lip service. Not party loyalty.
Just one man using the law to expose the truth.
And we stand with him.
